Online safety is an important part of keeping children safe at Robartes ACE Academy. We have extensive security measures in place in school, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any online incidents are recorded and managed. Online safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online.
We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the Online Safety message is consistent. It is important that parents speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.
As parents, teachers, governors and other adults responsible to children’s safety – we want our children and those we look after to be healthy and happy, & to develop well both physically and mentally, but what we DO want is for our children to be safe.
Children learn through exploration and natural curiosity, and it is part of the role as parents and carers to encourage that. As our children grow up, develop and discover new experiences, we have to take more and different steps to ensure their safety.
